Suffolk University is seeking qualified applicants to consider to fill the roles of seasonal Theatre Assistants. Reporting to the Theatre Department Front-of-House Manager and will assist with house management in Suffolk’s Modern and Studio Theatres. The University uses the theatres to present film, public speakers and panels, performing arts events, and community-oriented programs to the Suffolk community and general public. The Theatre Assistant position requires excellent communication skills, experience and interest in working with the public in a service oriented role. The ability to resolve problems, work well under pressure and in a fast paced Theatre setting. Must be flexible, reliable, available to work weekend and weekday evening hours, detail-oriented and attentive to safety for patrons and others who attend Theatre events. Prior supervisory experience and work experience in Theatres is highly desirable.
