Position Description:  We are looking for someone who would revel in learning the ins and outs of Okta's core products, distilling out production issues reported by engineers and customers, and executing complex end-to-end/system test plan. This person will become an expert at:

  • Understand and monitor customer usage patterns through various means like Splunk, customer-reported issues, or internal tools, and translate them into test requirements for automated or manual testing.
  • Prioritize and ensure these patterns continue to function for every weekly release in our test and staging environments.
  • Set up and maintain test configurations for end-to-end/system testing.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand Okta backwards and forwards
  • Review new changes going into test and staging environments
  • Ensure new changes are compatible with existing customer deployments and usage
  • Develop and execute end-to-end/system test plan

 

Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent skills in: Prioritization, Communication, Risk Assessment, System Testing
  • Demonstrated ability to: Understand Web Applications and where they tend to fail
  • Demonstrated ability to: Understand Customer activity
  • General knowledge of: Computers, the Internet, HTTP and REST protocols.
  • Experience writing SQL and testing or building out integrated scenarios required.
  • Familiarity with Android, iOS and/or Microsoft App Store environment.

 

Education and Training:

  • Okta seeks current university students pursuing a degree in Computer Science (or other technology related degree).
