Technical Support Engineer

MapR Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for our San Jose, CA office: Technical Support Engineer (job code #37858): Provide technical support for customer issues that are submitted on Company product and Hadoop ecosystem. Develop processes to streamline support and train others who are new to support organization on best practices and troubleshooting techniques. Develop best practices, use cases and reproduce customer issues in both cloud and local environment. Write blogs on product functionality, knowledge articles on frequently asked questions, and participate in community projects to promote support. Participate in engineering meetings to represent customer issues and bugs so they can be fixed and addressed immediately.

Education and Experience Required:

  • MS or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications, and 3 years of experience.
