Client Operations Manager

The Client Operations Manager partners closely with the Client Service Manager to serve our clients’ HR teams. The Client Operations Manager works directly with clients, insurance carriers, and benefits system administrators to ensure a smooth benefits implementation and renewal process, and serves as one of the primary Sequoia points of contact for day-to-day benefits operations questions and client inquiries. The position requires strong project management skills, passion for system implementations, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The individual should embody and promote our culture in daily relationships with clients and our teams.

  • Project manage new benefit administration system implementations and annual system updates
  • Monitor system functionality and performance to ensure standards are met; document system processes and best practices
  • Review discrepancy reports and resolve inaccuracies in data
  • Complete enrollment audits with carriers to ensure accuracy in coverage
  • Maintain and update Salesforce database for new and existing clients
  • Prepare and maintain various client facing documents including compliance and administrative materials
  • Educate clients on benefit program and systems
  • Manage various ad hoc client projects
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in a client service environment
  • Strong project manager with ability to prioritize multiple tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to understand client needs and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Strong technical skills and systems knowledge (HRIS and Benefit Administration)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to run reports and manipulate large data sets
  • Detail and process-oriented thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Solutions-oriented team player who takes initiative and is accountable for results
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
