Pandora’s Audio Production team plays a vital role in the overall listening experience of the Pandora user. We create audio ads for local and national campaigns, produce custom audio content, and manage a robust roster of voice talent—all toward creating a personal, seamless, and engaging audio ad experience for the Pandora listener and advertiser.

 

We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled senior audio producer to join our team. You must have an outstanding ear for all types of audio and be able to define and maintain a high standard of quality in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Exceptional recording, editing and mixing skills are essential. The ideal candidate is creative, flexible, and an expert communicator, passionate about problem solving and dedicated to excellence.

 

You will join a world-class audio team in a role that is crucial to Pandora’s future growth and success. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead ongoing audio projects that directly shape the team, supporting managers to take initiative, solve problems, improve processes and execute ideas
  • Serve as a mentor to audio producers and peers, proactively seeking and sharing knowledge across the team
  • Help to set standards and continually improve the overall sound of Pandora audio ads and other audio projects; enforce and maintain quality standards
  • Comfortably and assertively direct and engineer high-pressure recording sessions, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and clear knowledge of the product and brand
  • Work closely with Creative Operations to design and implement additional systems to improve team production and workflow
  • Model effective communication and skilled production with challenging clients and projects
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Pandora voice and dedication to preserving an excellent listener experience
  • Record, edit and mix high quality, high volume audio spots in a fast-moving, deadline driven environment; effectively manage incoming audio requests and team projects while meeting multiple deadlines throughout each day
  • Interpret client needs and provide proper direction for talent, identifying top quality performances that match client expectations

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in a professional audio environment, including voice over and dialogue experience; radio and/or advertising experience is a must
  • Expert skill level in audio software and plugins: Logic Pro, Pro Tools
  • Impeccable ear for audio production and mixing
  • Ability to remain calm and confident when executing on high stress, deadline-oriented projects
  • Experience working on complicated projects with challenging clients
  • Innovative, proactive and self-motivated; comfortable tackling new challenges with little direction. Devotion to excellence is a must.
  • Collaborative and enjoys working with a team; excellent ability to work seamlessly with a variety of departments across various disciplines at Pandora
  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Ability to see the big picture while paying keen attention to detail
