Wayfair is seeking an analytical individual to fill the position of Assortment Planner. This position will be dedicated to delivering a superb customer experience by making excellent product offering decisions informed by our wealth of browsing and purchasing data. The assortment planning team works across Wayfair brands to optimize the offering and pricing strategy of business units in order to maximize profitability and long-term customer engagement. Example of questions we tackle: If we have a choice between offering an additional bedding set or a sofa, which one should we chose? Are there specific price points that wall art sells best? Are we over or under assorted on accent pillows?
A qualified candidate must be comfortable working with large data sets and relying on business acumen to form and test hypothesis. The candidate should have a bias for action, an interest in seeing their findings instituted, and an enthusiasm for communicating business objectives to many cross-functional teams. Knowledge of home products and interior design concepts is a plus.
