Wayfair is looking for an Senior Product Manager to join our Find superpod. This role will be tasked with making the Search feature more personalized to each user. The position presents a significant intellectual, technical, and user experience challenge.  The Senior Manager will work cross functionally with leaders from our Engineering, Data Science, Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and Executive teams.  This leader must have a passion for delivering amazing customer experiences.  He/she will be a creative thinker who pushes the bounds of innovation and be a communicator who can get stakeholders on board to drive delivery of his/her vision.  The leader must also be data driven and able to execute on a project roadmap with strong attention to detail, anticipating issues before they occur. 


As the CEO of your product(s), you’ll be responsible for wearing any and all hats. You will be responsible for owning your roadmap, making appropriate product tradeoffs, and measuring success of your initiatives.  And if you’re doing it right, you’re having a ton of fun and getting smarter every day.


You must have a strong bias-for-action, be extremely curious and be willing to identify and fill gaps where necessary to get the job done.  In addition, you’ll be expected to identify better methods in the future for avoiding those gaps.  You will be asked to break down complex problems and back up your recommendations with quantitative and qualitative reasoning.  You will be a member of a team consisting of Engineers, UX Designers and Analysts and play a central role in organizing and communicating their efforts.


How you’ll drive success:

  • Product Manager’s at Wayfair are exceptionally strong in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, and demonstrate superior communication skills to constituents across the business.
  • Utilize data to understand customer needs and behaviors as well as business objectives, and transform that knowledge into website enhancements and new features
  • Using Agile methodologies, they develop software intended for our US, UK, DE and Canada sites, in addition to Wayfair’s additional lifestyle brands.
  • Build and maintain roadmaps for your product(s) and insure those interests are represented amongst all Product owners within the organization to ensure the vision for your product roadmap aligns with broader company objectives
  • Monitor performance of your focus area and measure impact of your product enhancements
  • Determine resourcing needs for your team and make compelling requests for additions when required.


Desired Skills:

  • 4+ years product management experience (2+ e-commerce or retail product management experience strongly preferred), or those with exceptional leadership and business experience looking to make a transition from consulting and other industries into eCommerce
  • 4+ years experience successfully managing and developing highly effective teams
  • Strong cross functional project leadership experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for customer focused innovation – consumer UX/UI experience preferred
  • A desire to move quickly and decisively in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical background, or technical orientation
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in either a technology or business discipline, MBA a plus
