Buying Manager, Joss & Main

We are seeking a passionate, hyper-analytic, style-savvy, and results-driven individual with strong attention to detail to join our buying team as Promotions Manager. This role will focus on improving our customer experience through careful management of our daily event calendar across categories, seasons, and trends. The person in this role will rely on traditional retail and merchandising concepts and metrics-driven approach but execute those concepts in a very field-specific and nuanced way. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong communication and time-management skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own over-arching plan for each promotion (category/class event allocation, style/aesthetic representation, seasonal relevance, etc.)
  • Set merchandising strategy for each catalog based on performance data, aesthetic fit, product availability, supplier negotiations, pricing and inventory strategies, and data from past promotions
  • Innovate - test new concepts to optimize customer response, conversion, engagement, purchase patterns, etc.
  • Manage analyst responsible for streamlining processes and communication across buyers and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders in buying, brand, merchandising, operations and in-house photography production team to deliver an integrated, inspiring and engaging customer experience
  • Maintain industry expertise through ongoing competitive research; keep abreast of trends
  • Work with Assortment Planning and Buying to fill assortment gaps (at class/price point/supplier level)
  • Act as key project manager for all promotions and execution of our daily site launch
