Wayfair is a leader in the eCommerce space for all things for the home (couches, end tables, lamps, and literally 7+ million other items). However, we're still small with that start-up feel within engineering. Our engineers are building highly interactive Desktop tools supporting our extensive 6+ million Product Catalog and Retail Partners (such as Amazon, Walmart, and eBay to name a few).
We're looking for sharp people who enjoy innovation and thrive on making an impact with a keen sense for blending both reliable and cutting edge technology. For these teams, we are looking for strong .Net and C# skills. We have a massive amount of data under all of this so SQL skills (of any kind) are a must.
Projects include working with other major retailers and integrating them with our systems. We handle 1000’s of orders and millions of service requests per day from our retail partners. We are always adding new enhancements and efficiencies including on developing a new highly scalable inventory system.
*** This position is on-site at our Boston, MA headquarters - not a freelance / remote opportunity ***
We don't care what language you grew up with...we have a wide array of technologies here. OO skills are great; functional programming and scripting language experience are prized as well.
