Senior Manager - 3D Visualization

The 3D Visualization team is a brand new and rapidly growing and changing team within Wayfair.  The team is working on highly visible projects and is driving innovation daily for Wayfair.  We are the team responsible for revolutionizing the imagery available to our customers.  The team is in need of highly driven and motivated individuals.  Applicants must be ready to take on a lot of responsibility, work hard, learn a lot, and drive big results.  An entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality is a must.  It is important that applicants are comfortable with change, a rigorous pace, and relentless prioritization of work.  Change is constant on this team.  Prior experience in the field is not required.  This role will report to the Director of 3D Visualization. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop talent within the organization, managing a rapidly growing team to take on managing our internal/external processes & quality control
  • Identify key areas of operational efficiency through people, process, and technology improvements
  • Assist with vetting, testing, and negotiating with potential new overseas contractors
  • Set the strategic vision and direction on our path towards optimization of existing processes and creation of new processes which will span work with category management, merchandising, engineers, product managers, and 3rd party contractors
  • Leverage technology to enhance business goals including identification of areas for improvement and implementation
  • Leverage quantitative analysis to guide strategic decisions of the team

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of work experience with a record of operating independently and driving results
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written  
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Senior presence including ability to work side-by-side with a broad range of seniorities and functions from CEO to engineer to creative
  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency performing analysis in Excel (experience with SQL is a plus)
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
  • Capacity to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • High degree of comfort with constant change and prioritization
  • Strong leadership ability with a focus on people development and coaching
  • BA/BS degree, with strong academic record; top MBA preferred but not required
  • Great attitude and a sense of humor – we are a hardworking team in an open seating environment!
