Do you spend your free time browsing e-commerce sites, both in the US and abroad?  Are you constantly thinking of things Wayfair could improve about its shopping experience?  The Global Product Merchandising team is looking for an enthusiastic and data-driven individual to help execute merchandising initiatives on our sites. 

This person will join a global team of e-commerce professionals focused on building a world-class customer experience across multiple product categories. 

The successful Global Product Merchandiser will combine passion for understanding what drives customers to buy with a detail-oriented approach to the objectives with which to achieve their goals. He/she will own an area of our product catalog, making customer-facing decisions about how to merchandise those products across all of our sites globally. As experts on how our customers shop for a zillion products in each of our different markets, members of the team optimize performance of our merchandising, drive internal processes to ensure world-class product merchandising and serve as go-to people for insight on the customer experience.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as the department subject matter expert on merchandising and performance in a given area of our product catalog across all websites globally
  • Analyze site metrics and related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth across assigned product categories
  • Serve as the expert on the back-end structure of a given area of our product catalog, ensuring technology is correctly and fully leveraged to drive an optimal customer experience
  • Relentlessly maintain high quality standards on merchandising of products in assigned categories, providing feedback and driving internal process change as necessary


Skills & Requirements:

  • BA with strong academic record
  • Passionate about the customer with an interest in understanding and driving user behavior
  • Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable learning data analysis tools
  • Highly detail oriented; unafraid of complexity
  • Comfortable navigating structured and unstructured data; familiarity with SQL a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to coordinate global, cross-functional projects, providing clear & constructive feedback to other teams and levels
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Positive, energetic attitude
  • Willingness to be flexible and take responsibility for multiple tasks as necessary
