Your Role:

Based in Berlin, you will be a part of the US Market team, working under the supervision of the Head of US Market. The Business Developer position is a very varied job which requires knowledge and interest in performance-based marketing, affiliate marketing, SEM and SMM. Among the various tasks that you will have to perform are the following:

  • Take ownership of the full sales cycle including: lead generation, pitching, negotiating and finalizing contracts
  • Lead pitches and meetings with clients as the professional expert in your field
  • Attend industry events and grow your professional network, leveraging your contacts within the industry and retail prospects to create proposals and secure advertising budgets
  • Set campaign strategy, define goals, plan and monitor the execution of the campaigns
  • Manage existing advertiser accounts and build new partnerships with leading publishers
  • Maintain the quality of the back-end spotting bugs and relating with the Product team to fix them
  • Propose product enhancements
  • Carry on Marketing and Competitive Intelligence reports
  • Create sales documents

These various tasks will fall into the following weighted categories:

  • Managing existing advertiser accounts and campaigns - 35%
  • Prospecting for new advertisers - 25%
  • Social Media Advertising - 20%
  • Intelligence and reporting tasks - 15%
  • Other - 5%

Our Requirements:

  • Native English speaker required (no need to speak German though)
  • A natural born salesperson who is a good initiator, proactive and can work independently
  • Be entrepreneurial in your approach and able to think outside the box to come up with new solutions to your daily challenges
  • Organizational skills and ability to steer a project by connecting the dots and tying loose ends
  • A charismatic individual who has the ability to shine in meetings
  • Familiarity with online advertising campaigns, tracking and CPI, CPC, CPA, PPC concepts
  • Good communication skills, and a team player
  • Good knowledge of Affiliate Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Performance Based Marketing, App ecosystem
  • Familiarity with SEM (SEO, SEA) and SMM (SMO, SMA)
  • Prior experience of 2+ years in the field of sales or business development in an online advertising environment
