Account Manager - Restaurants

About the role

Reserve is looking for a full-time position on the Customer Success team. The role is based in Chicago. Your focus will be account management for our restaurant customers in the Chicago market. You will be responsible for owning Reserve’s relationships with restaurants with a focus on helping our customers get the most out of Reserve’s products and helping to make them successful. You will be the primary point person for our restaurant partners starting after they’ve been onboarded and through the entire customer lifecycle.



  • Manage 80+ restaurant relationships on day to day basis
  • Consolidate and present data analysis to restaurant customers to support success and future development
  • Contribute records and notes to a team-wide customer relationship management database
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact and resource for our restaurant partners
  • Monitor feedback channels and reach out to restaurants to resolve issues
  • Identify trends and opportunities; collaborate with our Product Management team to define product offerings and enhancements for restaurants
  • Primary performance metrics: churn, renewals, referrals, customer advocacy


About You

You have excellent organizational skills and love to stay a step ahead. You are an excellent and empathetic communicator. You are a good manager, capable of working well with a team to understand client issues and develop appropriate responses/solutions. You’re capable of quickly building rapport and establishing trust. You display a willingness to make decisions in a timely fashion, exhibiting sound and accurate judgment, with an ability to support and explain reasoning for those decisions. You are capable of adjusting your account management and operations tactics to achieve desired results, then share those results with the organization. The right candidate has deep relationships in and understanding of the Chicago restaurant scene.

You will also have the following:

  • 2-3+ years of relevant account management, sales, and/or operational experience
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations (org structure, financials, etc.)
  • Comfort working independently and/or on a small team in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment
  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking (i.e., you are comfortable with spreadsheets)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and "get shit done" attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to run a tight ship
  • Insatiable appetite for fine cuisine and dining out
  • College degree preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in hospitality with a deep empathy and understanding for the restaurant industry
