Love operationalizing and improving processes and programs? Enjoy being an owner with lots of impact directly on employees? The People Programs team at Gusto is looking for someone to join the team! You’ll have the opportunity to roll your sleeves up and help with the design, roll out and iteration of programs which aim to enable this mission.  In this role, you’ll work on everything from tracking and analyzing people data to organizing, preparing for and helping to run performance development cycles.  You’ll be asked to develop new and more automated ways to run all processes, and will have an incredible opportunity to grow with a high-energy, mission-driven, and rapidly growing team.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Support People programs and processes, including our performance development program, compensation and equity programs, internal people systems, employee engagement surveys, and more!
  • Track and analyze People data to inform business decisions
  • Help design and implement new programs to attract and retain the best talent
  • Identify opportunities to drive improvements to Gusto People programs, which will require influencing cross-functional teams
  • Help innovate and/or re-configure our People processes to address inefficiencies
  • Create presentations and communications to effectively share program goals, timelines and processes
  • Monitor integrity and validity of data; address any data integrity issues and work to solve root causes

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-3 years of prior experience, preferably in a People Operations role
  • Good quantitative skill -- comfort with numbers and data
  • Good with Excel
  • Naturally curious, innovative, creative, and constantly looking for opportunities to tweak and optimize
  • Focused on results and ready to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A utility player -- you're willing to help out wherever needed
