Position Overview – Associate Digital Operator

San Mateo, CA

Digital Operators work in an intense, deadline-driven atmosphere as part of a team that publishes and maintains digital game content on the PlayStation storefronts for North and South America.

Using a web-based content management system, you will be responsible for accurately uploading and maintaining downloadable game content on all PlayStation platforms and online storefronts.

Ideal candidates will be able to work well under pressure and quickly adapt to change. A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask is a must.

Principle Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input, publish and maintain game content for distribution on the PlayStation storefronts using a web-based content management system.
  • Build and maintain new and existing storefronts within the content management system.
  • Help to launch new or updated games, stores, or services on the PlayStation®Network.
  • Upload and manage all assets that appear on the game detail pages, such as preview videos, screenshots and confirmation text.
  • Coordinate with various internal and external groups, such as QA, Product Marketing, Digital Supply Chain, PR, and Product Development to accurately deploy content on time.
  • Enforce process rules and deadlines for game content, ensuring a smooth publishing process.
  • Work closely with Sony’s Developer Technology Group and Client dev teams to support publisher requests, vet new proposals, and troubleshoot live issues.
  • Assist in the development and testing of the content management system and other backend tools.
  • Assist in the creation and curation of process documentation, including training materials.
  • Serve as a technical subject-matter expert in storefront operations processes.

Required Knowledge or Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of web-based technology and network infrastructure
  • Experience working with content management systems
  • Willing to work overtime and occasionally on weekends
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • College degree required

Bonus Knowledge or Skills:

  • Experience with media or ecommerce websites
  • Experience working in a software dev environment
  • Technical writing or documentation
  • Experience drafting feature specifications
  • Experience with training, distilling complex topics into easily accessible concepts
