Fædrelandsvennen (FVN) is a large regional media house in Norway with a long tradition and a loyal user base. We are one of 7 large media houses within Schibsted Publishing in Scandinavia.
Our mission is to contribute to a functioning democracy by closing the gap between what citizens know and what they need to know about the world around them. We aim to offer trustworthy local news providers founded on facts and insight in a world where information is becoming increasingly more abundant and untrustworthy.
To achieve this we’re aiming at delivering simply the best news destinations there are to our users. This requires a dedicated and continuous investment in new technology, to stay relevant in a rapidly changing market. In all honesty we’re not quite there yet, and we still have a lot of untapped potential. That is why we are strengthening our local development team responsible for both the newsroom tool suite and the end user products.
Schibsted Products & Technology is a brand new technology start-up within Schibsted, with established offices in London, Stockholm, Barcelona and Oslo. We are now expanding to include local teams on site at our regional newspapers, including FVN. With over 250 million monthly active users under our belt, we're able to harness huge amounts data to provide insights on a global scale. Together with our deep local expertise, we've got a winning combination
In the role as Interaction designer you will create the interactions our users have with our product, based on their behaviour and needs. When creating concepts, experiments and design you will synthesise user insights to create user flows, wireframes and interface mockups that all add up to amazing products. You get impatient if you are not continuously sketching concepts, tweaking flows or polishing our designs and contribute to conceptual big-thinking.
You will support your team throughout the full lifecycle of product development and be expected to utilize a full range of interaction design - enabling us to create solutions for end users that delight and excite users while fulfilling their needs.
