As a Sales Team Lead for Media Temple, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients looking for the best solution to support their digital presence. For our existing customer base, you will be vital in helping them scale their on-going business as it grows. You will also be helping your team of sale consultants do the same.

Direct Sales Responsibilities:  

  • Answers all inbound inquiries from prospective and existing clients.
  • Manages the full sales cycle from lead to close.
  • Establishes and maintains current client and potential client relationships.
  • Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to accurately recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Follows-up with customers after sale to ensure expectations have been met and services are operating as promised.
  • Manages account services through quality checks via phone, email and chat.
  • Enters all leads into CRM system for consistent relationship tracking across department.

Team Lead Responsibilities:

  • Supervises direct reports ensuring the team meets individual sales goals.
  • Serves at the main point of contact by answering sales questions, making simple approvals and escalating customer calls.
  • Assists with training program for new Sales Consultants and recommends training improvements.
  • Partners with Sales Direct to conduct periodic 1:1 meetings, first 90-day reviews and annual reviews for all Sales Consultants.
  • Meets with team to build effective communications, understand training & development needs and provides insight for process and individual improvement.
  • Assists with recruiting and hiring of new Sales Consultants.
  • Monitors and manages phone/chat queue.
  • Reviews and approves time cards, schedules, shift changes and PTO.
  • Responsible for quality assurance process and reviews results with Sales Consultants.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Attends periodic new product information trainings and meetings.

Requirements:   

  • Associates degree or relevant sales experience.
  • 3-5 years of full-cycle sales experience.
  • 1 years of experience managing a team.
  • Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with basic internet technology and terms.
  • Other worldly time-management and multitasking skills.
  • Meets or exceed individual monthly sales targets as set by management.
  • Leads by example by upholding positive work ethic standards for attendance, punctuality, and positive demeanor at all times.

Pluses:  

  • Previous experience in the hosting or technology industries.
