Position Description:

Are you passionate about building great, integrated products that IT administrators love?  Does driving the next evolution of our core product experience for a rapidly growing company get you excited?

Okta has consistently expanded our product portfolio beyond SSO to include IT provisioning, multi-factor authentication, mobile device management, and a flexible platform to help our customers manage users external to their organization. Now, with over 2,600 customers and 6 million users in 185 countries accessing our cloud service from tens of millions of devices, Okta has a huge opportunity to create a product suite that provides a great user experience for the IT administrator to drive overall adoption and success.

We are looking for a strong Senior Product Manager with a passion for the admin experience, growth and data. This will be responsible for partnering closely with our engineering, product management leaders, user experience designers, internal business operations and product marketing teams to drive significant full-stack improvements to our admin experience that drive feature adoption, cross/up-sell opportunities and overall growth across core metrics. With regards to data and analytics, this role will be responsible for fostering data driven decision making across the products team and will be the owner of our engagement data tracking capabilities partnering closely with our Data and Analytics team and other Product Managers.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing market-leading enterprise products or services. Experience in identity management and IT products is a plus, too. Overall success in this role will require both a strong ability to understand customer requirements, define our strategy, and work across Okta to ensure delivery of a compelling product experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Set product strategy and direction for one or more key areas of our admin product experience
  • Ruthlessly prioritize across a number of product investment areas and detailed features to deliver the most customer value
  • Own engagement data and analytics efforts to track and measure product health. Experience in Mixpanel or similar products is vital to this role.
  • Partner with the User Experience team to drive a compelling administrator experience in tune with customer feedback
  • Execute with Engineering, the wider Products teams and other internal groups to deliver world class products and features to our administrators that make them successful
  • Track industry trends and competition to inform product decisions and strategy and collaborate with product marketing to support new offerings

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience across the product management lifecycle for enterprise products or services for a multi-tenant SaaS company
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written)
  • Strong leadership skills and presence
  • Track record of successful delivery of company-critical projects
  • 6+ years of industry experience. 4+ years of product management or related experience


  • Advanced degree or Masters of Business Administration
  • Knowledge of enterprise security products and services
  • Knowledge of data systems and infrastructure
  • Knowledge in identity or access management
  • Experience with developing multi-tenant SaaS services
