Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with notable domain knowledge to work on our Directories team. The team is responsible for the Active Directory and LDAP integrations with Okta’s cloud-based identity and access management service. This is an opportunity to leverage your deep knowledge and vast experience in LDAP or Active Directory related product development and testing, and applying it to building highly scalable Cloud infrastructure and highly reliable and available agent networks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze/Refine Requirements with Product Management and Development
  • Work with engineering management to scope and plan engineering efforts
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of core, high-performance, scalable software components and agents
  • Interface with QA, Product Management, Technical Support, and Documentation
  • Work in a weekly sprint format contributing to roadmap deliverables
  • Assist with lab setup and maintenance

 
Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of software testing and automation development experience (preferably Java) building highly-reliable, mission- critical software
  • Must have domain experience with Active Directory and/or LDAP
  • Experience working with a system of scale
  • Fluency in Java and/or significant exposure to different programming languages and paradigms
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision

  
Education and Training:
B.S. Computer Science or related field (MS/PhD a plus)
