Analytically-minded Business Development Associate – Asia-Pacific

We are looking for a Business development specialist who is not afraid of data-crunching and diving into the analytics of digital marketing to grow our commercial operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

StudyPortals' mission is to bring transparency to the wealth of study opportunities in the World’s Higher Education Market. It aims to empower the world to choose education. StudyPortals is the publisher of several popular sites helping students to find their dream education, e.g. MastersPortal.com.


Our sites have more than a million users on a monthly basis with makes us the most popular study choice platform worldwide, in the last 12 months our visitor numbers have grown with more than 50%. We currently serve more than 2,000 participating universities in about 50 countries worldwide.


Nowadays, the StudyPortals team consists of over a hundred people with +34 different nationalities, 27 of which are in the University Value Team. The centre of our operations is based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Our Asia-Pacific antenna is centrally located on the South edge of the CBD with splendid views over the MCG and the Yarra.


StudyPortals recently started commercial activities in this new priority market outside of Europe, as well as in North America. We are now looking for a commercial talent (experienced preferably) in Australia, who can be a champion in developing key relationships and grow our impact in the Higher Education World of this exciting part of the Globe. Based on our experience in Europe and the feedback we have received from Australian Universities, we believe that to do this we have to be ready to help Universities see the return on investment of the online recruitment channel that we are proud to provide; so we are looking for analytically-minded profile.


Account Manager Role:

  • Acquisition of new clients, by telephone, email contact, and by visiting conferences and clients in your region;
  • Advising and liaising with existing clients - optimizing our relationship and ensuring clients are optimally served, satisfied and happy with their activity;
  • Become a thought leader in online student recruitment (mostly by specializing in its analytical dimension and the evaluation of its' cost-effectiveness) and student orientation behaviour: Initiate research, case studies and present/publish;
  • Involvement in the optimization of the complete commercial cycle: from lead generation, deal making, implementation to reporting and evaluation;
  • Identification, development and initiation of focused marketing initiatives in the market’s target regions.
