SUMMARY This position is responsible for all product movement within the facility and the Distribution Center.

CONNECTION TO MISSION Providing support to production area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:


  1. Receive and put away meat from production: Use scanners, Ross, Cart PC’s and Terminals
  2. Clean freezer/coolers/docks per USDA requirements
  3. Check rework by type and line before closing in Ross
  4. Close WIP and finished products in Ross (work in progress)
  5. Operate pallet jack. Complete pre-operational check sheet
  6. Must be able to meet productivity objections after initial ramp-in period has ended
  7. Adhere to company GMP’s and Employee handbook policies and procedures
  8. Treat co-workers with dignity and respect
  9. Adhere to process specifications
  10. Understand and follow all safety guidelines that pertain to this position
  11. Other duties as assigned



There are no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and organize concepts on paper. Ability to speak effectively to employees of organization.


Ability to learn and perform more complex computer commands and routines such as our Ross inventory system. Material handlers must be able to accurately input data.

REASONING/DECISION MAKING SKILLS Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Responsible for comprehending processes.
