Manager of Video Production

San Mateo, CA  

The Video Production Manager/Producer develops, creates, edits, sources and organizes all video production in relation to the SIE product family from a post-production perspective.   The Video Production Manager/Editor needs high-level video production design experience and high-level experience working with or interfacing digital video equipment, video post-production studio management, and image/video manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe After-Effects and non-linear editing such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Avid.

  • Responsibilities include management and education of editorial staff, establishing timelines, asset tracking, editing videos, audio mixing, compressions of video footage, post production (editing, animations and static graphics), compositing, motion graphics, event storage.
  • Develops and communicates video and project guidelines to all SIEA Video department personnel, internal and external vendors, and retailers. The role will help manage and support a team who’s clients support all marketing programs (including PlayStation Network, PlayStation.com, Brand Alliances, Public Relations, Social Media, Product Marketing, Sales, Channel Marketing, Events, and Product Development).

 

Requirements include maintaining a professional style of communication, while providing analytical problem solving skills to a variety of user levels within various departments. Must have a high level of communication and project management skills, creativity, patience, organizational structure, strategic and analytical skills, and production experience. Daily interactions include:

  • People management experience with high-level deliverables with global impact within compacted timelines.
  • The verbal communication of video guidelines and video projects supporting all SCEA depts. Routine communication is necessary to coordinate and execute ongoing projects with project managers, retain efficiencies during project executions, continue to develop and manage protocols in relation to all video deliverables, maintain objectives in sight, maintain a high level of creativity while interacting with internal departments, ‘clients’ and external video production partners.
  • Daily responsibilities include the ability to interpret and understand the direction provided to them under the supervision of Manager(s) and the projects assigned. The ability to independently manage the day-to-day operations of all video production providing the highest level of support to the company.
  • High level of technical background necessary in order to develop and support projects with a focus on creativity while providing solutions is necessary. Must have a hands-on attitude with background in video production, editing, compositing, digital photo manipulation and marketing/advertising agency experience. Background with video games, computers and home electronics is desired. Analytical problem solving skills and strong organizational skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with a variety of user levels verbally. Creates and executes video production projects based on direction from clients.
  • Marketing, Advertising, Video Production, Camera Work, Editing, 3D Graphics, Compression, Formatting, Duplication, Compositing, Hiring Talent, Legal and Contract Experience
  • BA or BS Degree, Advanced Degree a plus
