The Pivotal team located in Toronto is seeking an Business Operations Analyst Intern to join our Finance Operations team. This role will be responsible for working closely with Business Operations Analyst's Delivery Managers in our Professional Services Business to ensure proper record and billing of reimbursable Travel and Expense (T&E), as well as, other ad hoc financial operations responsibilities as required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Ops Analyst Intern is responsible for entering, maintaining and billing out reimbursable T&E to customers in accordance with customer policies and legal documents
  • Responsible for correct T&E budget set-up and burn for projects in internal time-tracking and billing tool (OpenAir)
  • Providing weekly and monthly reporting on reimbursed T&E, outlining potential gaps and assisting Delivery Manager’s/Office Directors with making data driven business decisions
  • Liaising with multiple departments leads (Travel, Relocation, Project Operations, Finance Operations, and Delivery Managers) to support and improve T&E processes.
  • Responsible for helping drive resolution of client queries/other departments/divisions within Professional Services

GENERAL SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:

  • Ability to liaise with multiple divisions and departments
  • Analytical ability, problem solving skills, cross-functional skills, organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask while demonstrating a sense of urgency, while maintaining an appropriate level of detail
  • Proactive and motivated self-starter
  • Experience with OpenAir is an asset

REQUIRED EDUCATION & SKILLS:

  • Current enrollment in Finance/Business degree program at University or College
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, most notably Excel

In this role you will be working within a highly collaborative team and will directly report to a Sr. Business Ops Analyst and result in frequent interactions with other key members of the Professional Services team and business. The ideal candidate exhibits a high attention to detail, excellent data entry skills, teamwork, motivation and an upbeat attitude.
