  • Minimum of 3 years testing / QA experience, ideally with experience of large complex programmes
  • Proven experience in both manual and automation test scripting and execution (& defect management)
  • Experience with Java or C#
  • Experience of utilising existing automation frameworks to delivery optimised automated test scripts
  • Proven ability in understanding technical requirements and identifying the required capability to achieve the required testing goals
  • Proven experience in collaborating effectively across multi-vendor services and teams, including facilitating knowledge transfer across teams

Essential Skills

  • Good level knowledge of one core development language for all test engineering outputs
  • Extensive hands on test experience within Agile / DevOps environments, with a strong understanding of the sprint, CI and release testing lifecycles
  • Experience and successful track record of supporting testing across complex end to end systems, with multiple interfaces and dependencies
  • Understanding of functional and non-functional testing requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a complex system landscape including Cloud based infrastructure, Networking Technologies, Middleware, Telecommunications, Databases, Platforms and Authentication Mechanisms
  • Ability to review, understand and query technical aspects from architectural diagrams and other technical documentation including HLDs and LLDs
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Open source tools and Cloud based services
  • Experience of writing shell scripts to undertake appropriate functional testing during the development cycles
  • Ability to work with all multiple stakeholders and third parties
  • Experience of following methodologies: Waterfall, Agile and DevOps
  • Experience in engaging with a variety of stakeholders from various organisations to assist in test design and execution
  • Demonstrable experience of traceability matrix creation and delivery
  • Able to run and manage appropriate tests to ensure that requirements have been fully met
  • Understands and is able to identify the most effective techniques, data sets and tools to use
  • Able to communicate defects or trends clearly to software developers, outlining how defects are identified and the possible causes
  • Effective in utilising a range of contemporary technologies including cloud platforms and open source tools
