FiveStars is searching for a detail-oriented Contract Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance and Accounting Team. This will be a Contract position with an initial 3-month duration with the option to extend. 

  • Perform daily and weekly billing and collection calls and correspondence in a fast paced, goal-oriented Accounts Receivable Department
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues and internal billing inquiries
  • Input account and invoice adjustments using Zuora and Salesforce
  • Verify appropriateness of customer refunds, process credits, process small balance write offs, and provide customer reconciliations
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on AR balance and collections including Accounts Receivable Aging reports
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for customer accounts
  • Continuously improve AR processes and make recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Maintain communication and working relationships with cross-functional departments
  • Perform other duties and special projects necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department


  • 2+ years of experience in industry handling accounts receivable activity
  • Strong analytic skills, with the proven ability to analyze processes and suggest/implement continuous improvements
  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Accurate, detailed-oriented, performs well under pressure and with a sense of urgency
  • Flexible and adaptable to constant changes resulting from a dynamic and growing business environment
  • Solid experience working with large volume transactions
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a strong team player but able to work independently and problem solve
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent major
  • Startup or tech company exposure
  • Familiarity with Zuora, Salesforce, Intacct and/or NetSuite
