Accelerator Operations Assistant: Part-Time

The Capital Factory Accelerator Team is looking for an administrative assistant to support the Accelerator Coordinator as our portfolio expands and programming opportunities to grow.

You will provide administrative and onsite support for the Accelerator Coordinator, while helping her coordinate monthly application cycles, events, day to day operations, and onboarding of new companies. You will help coordinate and market events such as Monthly Accelerator Interviews, $100k Investment Challenges, Accelerator Info Sessions, Founders Dinner, and other Accelerator programming.

Requirements

About you…

  • You are passionate about working in the Austin startup scene and helping companies get the most benefit from Capital Factory programming
  • You are organized and plan ahead, but you don’t get stressed out when things change at the last minute. Because they will. You roll with it.
  • You are a problem solver. You know how to juggle the requests from multiple managers and thrive with independent execution
  • You write things down. You document your process and maintain records so that if you got hit by a bus we we’ll be very sad but still able to continue operating.
  • You are professional and presentable and greet everyone cheerfully. You’re ready to deal with a hopeful Accelerator candidates, seasoned entrepreneurs and investors, and the President of the United States.
  • You have a reliable laptop computer and smartphone.
  • You are security aware. You have a passcode on your computer and phone and use a password manager.
  • You are available in person during business hours (9am-5pm), occasionally in the evenings (not more than once a week) and occasionally on the weekend (not more than once a month).
  • You are comfortable with the Google Apps suite of products. You’re eager to learn about new tools and ways to be more productive.
  • You get to Inbox Zero every day.
  • You don’t gossip and have discretion.

You’ll know you’re successful if…

  • The Accelerator program runs smoothly, effectively, and people recognize you as the point of contact for the program.
  • The Accelerator Interview application process goes smoothly for all parties
  • Our spreadsheets and email lists are well maintained
  • Everyone loves interacting with you

  • Help manage the monthly Accelerator Cycle and $100K Challenge application process
    • Send out interview invitations
    • Collect and prepare the presentation decks
    • Send out application rejections
    • Reserve and set up the Classroom
    • Monitor event registrations
    • Order lunch for Mentors
  • Send out interview invitations

Tools

You need to be able to work effectively with the Google Apps products including Gmail, Calendar and Calendar Appointments., and Drive (Spreadsheets and Documents). You also will spend a lot of time in Salesforce. Make sure to familiarize yourself with Asana, Eventbrite, Facebook, Mailchimp, AngelList.
