We’re growing quickly and are looking for a smart and motivated Account Development Specialist that has familiarity working with small business owners, understands the challenges they face, and is passionate about helping them grow their business.  You’ll be an integral part of our Revenue team, responsible selling additional products lines into our customer base and for helping our merchants get the most from our software.   

Responsibilities:  

  • Identify and articulate individual growth opportunities for Signpost clients 
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects within our existing client base 
  • Articulate the benefits of Signpost’s core software and service in conjunction with the additional features that Signpost offers 
  • Help clients understand the vast (and sometimes quite complicated!) worlds of payment processing and digital advertising  
  • Provide outstanding customer service by phone and email to new Signpost customers 
  • Meet monthly quotas according to company plan
  • Work closely with the Director of Account Development to increase close ratio and number of new customers
  • Collaborate across all departments including sales, product, and marketing to ensure a consistently great merchant experience
  • Research and develop best practices and guidelines that will inform others involved in customer experience
  • Participate in weekly meetings and articulate product and customer feedback to management team

What We Expect from You:

  • 1-3 years of inside sales experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Exceptional writing, phone, and computer skills
  • Organizational skills are a must 
  • Self-motivated and always looking for improvement opportunities
  • Competitive and driven to continuously out-perform
  • Customer facing experience is preferred
