Launched in 2013 by eBay founder and philanthropist Pierre Omidyar, First Look Media was created with the belief that independent perspectives are vital to both a vibrant culture and a thriving democracy.

First Look operates as both a studio and digital media company. As a studio, we develop, produce and finance content for all screens and platforms including feature films, television, digital series and podcasts. As a media company, we are finding new ways to connect compelling independent creators with passionate audiences through our own properties and on media platforms of our partners.

The Position:

This role will be a founding and foundational member to First Look Media’s sales team.  We’re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial New York-based sales executive to develop revenue streams for our newly launched podcast content platform.  The primary responsibility will be landing and managing new advertisers for our podcasts, leveraging existing relationships to hit the ground running while building new ones – existing relationships at client, agency and activation groups are a must.  The candidate should have a proven track record of success selling a range of formats to various clients, ranging from direct-response advertising to working with blue-chip brands, and have familiarity with podcast advertising formats. 


  • Develop advertiser base and sponsorship for our podcast content slate
  • Create top-notch proposals, sales presentation and marketing collateral
  • Deliver on business targets including revenue goals to meet programming and quarterly sales targets
  • Successfully manage accounts and nurture long-term relationships

Background & Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years sales experience with a documented success record selling direct-response advertising and blue-chip branding
  • Strong presentation and relationship building skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a cross-functional team
  • Ability to thrive and multitask in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Excited to work in the fast-growing podcasting industry
