Account Manager - Express

About the team

Careem Express is a new vertical within the Careem ecosystem – a startup within a startup. We are responsible for fulfilment and last mile delivery for hundreds of merchants in a variety of industries; including e-commerce, food, grocery and other areas. We are a small and passionate team that is building the next big vertical for Careem

What you'll do

  • Business development - Acquire new accounts in a new City (prospecting, targeting, pitching, contract negotiations, go-live)
  • Achieve monthly GMV targets through a mix of new merchant signups and increasing share of business with existing accounts 
  • Handle tier 1 & 2 clients (Key accounts)
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders  
  • Commercial understanding and handling negotiation with clients
  • Work closely with operations / logistics team internally & make sure the client requirements are serviced and strike the right balance between operational feasibility, cost and client experience

What you'll need

  • 2-3 years of sales & account management experience from food aggregator or on-demand logistics industry
  • High performer – track record of generating revenue for businesses 
  • Business development mindset coupled with Operational detail orientation
  • Be a problem solver
  • Be energetic and excited about joining a startup environment
  • Proficient in Arabic (written & verbal) 

Where you'll be

  • Even though we are working remotely, we are strong believers in collaboration and the power of building social connections with our teams. For that reason, our offices are still open and provide plenty of collaboration-friendly spaces at times when teams need it or if you need a quiet space to work outside of home. 
  • You’ll be working in the location you’re hired from. Due to legal and compensation considerations, you will need to be based out of the country you’re hired from as your primary work location.
