The Account Manager serves as the primary contact for all Vox Advertising clients during the pre- and post-sale stages and is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction. As the internal liaison between tech, editorial and post-sales, the Account Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts. In addition, the Account Manager will work closely with the sales team to actively engage in the growth of existing and new business opportunities. This position is at the crux of representing client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality delivery and to help drive results with Vox Media.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound RFP process with the help of the Sales Manager, AdOps, Sales Marketing, RevOps and Vox Creative to create all materials (pitch deck, media plan, etc) needed for complete response to all inbound and proactive proposals.
  • Manage clients and lead campaigns once IO is in house.
  • Assist the Sales Manager and internal teams to develop a list of deliverables, schedules and success metrics to ensure campaign goals are met.
  • Serve as the primary Point Person in client communication on pending and live campaigns, including kickoff calls, custom unit approvals, and periodic campaign optimizations.
  • Communicate and follow up with client and internal departments regarding live campaigns to address any concerns.
  • Assist production team in client communications on timelines, approvals, and deliverables and maintain internal process.
  • Review weekly delivery sheet to ensure all placements have properly delivered per the IO and revenue has been appropriately recognized.
  • Acquire proper internal and client approvals to process documents for optimizations, revisions, make-goods, cancellations and renewals.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years in digital advertising, preferably from an agency or publisher
  • Knowledgable of the digital sales process and a background in media planning
  • A passion for online media and journalism/storytelling
  • Proficient in Excel and PPT
  • History using Doubleclick for Publishers is preferred

Bonus points for:

  • History using Doubleclick for Publishers is preferred
  • Experience with Operative
  • Experience fulfilling native advertising products
  • Proven success optimizing performance of complex branded content and other advertising programs
