Account Payable Team Lead

Currently we are looking for the high potential and experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead

Role & responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of the Accounts Payable process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Accounts Payable ledger and the timeliness of payments;
  • Review and sign-off of regular and exception payment run proposals;
  • Review and sign-off of Accounts Payable journal entries;
  • Manage escalations from suppliers, OpCo's and employees regarding the settlement of invoices and expense claims in accordance with agreed service levels;
  • Monitor performance against agreed service levels & performance targets, implementing remedial actions;
  • Ensure all process controls are performed by team members in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Support period end close activities as they relate to Accounts Payable;
  • Ensure relevant reconciliations are completed and managed in a compliant and accurate manner;
  • Produce Accounts Payable reporting and analysis for management as required;
  • Develop, manage and motivate a high performance, customer focused Accounts Payable team;
  • Lead or support P2P process improvement initiatives, working closely with Procurement to achieve the desired end-to-end process outcomes;

Required experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience;
  • 5+ years P2P experience in a high volume environment;
  • Team leadership experience, ideally having managed 10+ direct reports in a similar role;
  • Broad experience in accounting and financial systems;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite;

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of the end to end Procure to Pay process as well as a subject matter expert in the Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense processes;
  • Understanding of Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense processing best practice;
  • Proven track record of team leadership in a high volume SSC/BPO environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels;
  • Customer service focus, able to build strong relationships across the organization;
  • Ability to monitor service levels/KPI's and implement corrective actions as required;
  • Ability to motivate and support direct reports;
  • Escalation management;
  • Experience working on and/or leading change and improvement projects;
  • Proficiency in the relevant OpCo business language(s);
  • Advanced English and Armenian languages.
