Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for internal financial reporting and the ongoing development and maintenance of robust financial accounting systems, processes, and controls. The role is a mixture of hands-on detailed work and leading other accounting professionals.  


  • Lead monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables for assigned areas (e.g., cash, receivables, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, costs and expenses)
  • Lead the preparation of internal monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, and other reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and process documentation in accordance with US GAAP
  • Manage all of the day-to-day activities in assigned areas, including supporting and managing the accounting staff
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives to optimize and improve financial systems and processes
  • Work with the FP&A team to analyze and communicate financial performance to executives and other management, including but not limited to balance sheet and income statement flux analyses and vendor trend analyses
  • Other duties or ad hoc projects may be assigned as appropriate


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years minimum work experience, with at least three of those years in the financial reporting/general ledger area
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license preferred
  • Two years minimum work experience in a “Big 4”, or similar, Audit Firm preferred
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-faced environment, with strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
  • Results-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and strong desire to learn and to knowledge-share
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – QAD experience a must
