Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Viva Wallet team in the UK, Milton Keynes.The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting information.

The company was founded in 2010 and has presence in the UK, Belgium, Romania, Greece, Cyprus. It is an entirely cloud-based licensed e-money institution for the provision of payment services in the 31 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA-31) and Principal Member of MasterCard and Visa for issuing and acquiring and a partner to leading global companies, such as Microsoft, Alipay, and PAX.

More specifically, as an Accounting Manager, you will:

  • Implement accounting policies;
  • Be responsible for the ownership and active management of key financial processes;
  • Prepare financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, the Board of Directors and the parent Company Management;
  • Report key financial, sales, margin and cost data to parent Company Management timely and accurately;
  • Prepare rolling cash flow reports;
  • Develop, maintain, and analyse weekly management dashboards and monthly reports;
  • Ensure compliance with labour, tax, and regulatory requirements;
  • Work closely with various corporate functions and external advisors and auditors;
  • Manage a team of 2 assistant accountants;
  • Supervise key month end close processes and reconciliations;
  • Liaise with parent Company management for the establishment of required procedures and policies;
  • Participate in system upgrades / implementations;
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function;
  • Monitor Adhoc projects as required by the business;
  • Analyse business operations across the Group producing models including; trends, costs, revenues/cash flows, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues, expenses and provide advice to the Executive Management Team and Board;


To be considered, you should have:

  • Proven working experience (5 years’) experience in a similar role;
  • A strong drive and ambition;
  • Hands-on and a positive attitude;
  • The A qualified accountant diploma – CIMA/ACCA/ACA;
  • Great commercial acumen;
  • Strong technical accounting skills;
  • A solid group reporting history and excellent communication skills;
  • The ability and willingness to be involved at a transactional level;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • The flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities;
  • The ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making;
