About the role

The role of the Logistics and Inventory Assistant is to provide accurate and responsive, world-class logistic support to Rocket Lab staff, clients and contractors operating at or transferring stores and equipment to and from LC1, and to coordinate stock management across all LC-1 stores locations in order to guarantee stock availability that meets the demands of the launch program and project delivery timelines. 

  
Essential skills

  • Two years + experience with stores, logistics or equivalent discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others behaviour
  • A proactive and can-do attitude with the ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work non-routine shifts in support of launch operations
  • Ability to work in a team and to build effective working relationships with external and internal customers
  • Ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with local suppliers
  • Moral courage
  • Excellent MS Office skills

Preferred skills

  • Experience in cycle count is desirable
  • ERP experience is desirable
