About the role

As an Agile Programme Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and improving agile frameworks across multiple cross-functional teams in order to help the Product team effectively deliver the Product Roadmap.  You will have a high degree of flexibility which comes with the opportunity to shape the role as the company grows.  This role will not suit purists – you will need to understand when process leads to greater efficiencies and when it impedes progress, as well as possessing the ability to explain the ‘why’ in order to drive adoption and motivation.  You understand that people, communication and collaboration are more important than methodology and you evangelise frameworks over process.  You are a fan of, and can demonstrate experience in, continuous improvement.

  • Work with Head of Product and IT to define and implement agile processes, including sprint ceremonies and program success metrics
    Key driver of agile in the organisation, assisting in driving company-wide understanding, engagement and demonstrating benefits
    Ensures that appropriate timing, resources, team structures and sequencing of work are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
  • Ensures that any business interdependencies are considered and tracked (for example, non-development activity required for delivery). Key relationships are with Product and Development but also including eCommerce, Buying, Acquisition, CRM, Customer Service
  • Provides regular updates for large Roadmap initiatives, monitors activity and reports on status
  • Creates a positive environment for cross-functional teams including open, honest communication and a clear path to escalate risks and issues.
  • Proactively identifies risks and develops contingency plans, identifies issues and manages their timely resolution. Escalates risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress in ways of working and larger Roadmap initiatives

This role will best suit an individual who is well organised, pragmatic, with great attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.  This role is essential to the success of a cross-functional team and therefore requires the ability to build strong relationships and work with multiple teams. 

  • Demonstrable experience in managing agile transformation and continuous improvement
  • Managing end to end delivery across teams
  • Experience of working in a range of companies, industries and methodologies (agile and waterfall
