Job Summary:
The Algorithm Feature/Function Owner role is centered around the Algorithm design and performance aspects of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) vehicle programs for OEM customers.  The Feature/Function Owner engineer (FfO)  is responsible for ensuring the customer’s requirements are internally translated to software requirements and feature/function level s/w is developed to meet those requirements.  Vehicle-level testing may be conducted either on test tracks or real-world road networks, spanning several US states and cities.
As part of the ADAS Algorithm team, your work will directly support the development of driving and parking features using cameras and radars that are leading edge technology.  The successful Algorithm FfO has a self-starting mentality, enjoys working hands-on on a variety of projects simultaneously and understands how to achieve a high level of "customer" satisfaction from internal and external engineering teams.

Your Role:
Collaborate in Scrum teams with the project team and various APTIV disciplines (Software, ITV, Vehicle Validation Testing, etc.) in development of ADAS features (Adaptive Cruse Control, Blind Spot Alert, etc.).
Use KPI matrices to measure and improve feature performance.
Triage feature performance issues and work with internal teams to resolve them.
Coordinate and lead ADAS Algorithm ground-truth activities.
Design closed-course and real world vehicle performance tests and direct test engineers and technicians to perform the tests.
Design, create and implement automated data analysis scripts for test log analysis.
Perform regression analysis on new s/w releases.
Lead Technical Design Review meetings with customers and internal teams.
Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings with Algorithm teams and test technicians to determine the days testing requirements and strategy to complete them.
Convert customer requirements into actionable system requirements for algorithm/software disciplines.   Document, manage and update the requirements with a requirements  management tool.
Work closely with Project Managers, Development engineers and customers to design and conduct  vehicle/bench tests that will evaluate interim software for performance issues and improvements.

Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
1+ years of data analysis experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
1+ years of customer interface experience.
Basic working-knowledge of ADAS technology.

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
2+ years of ADAS Feature/Function owner experience or 3+ years vehicle-level Systems Engineering experience.
Experience instructing Technicians and Operators/Drivers to perform vehicle level tests.
Experience with NHTSA Levels 2-5 Autonomous Vehicles.
Experience creating automated data analysis scripts with Python and MATLAB.
Technical writing proficiency for test procedures, plans and reports.
Proficient with in-vehicle debugging and testing using CAN communication tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.) dSPACE/ControlDesk.
Experience in requirements management in Polarion.
Experience with issue tracking tools as JIRA.
Understanding of cameras, Radar and LiDAR sensors.
Familiarity with the ASPICE standard.
