AML Transaction Monitoring Manager

About the role 

We are looking for a leader with strategic and operational excellence to lead our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Transaction Monitoring team. With high growth in the team’s people and processes, we need a strategic partner to deliver in assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance transaction monitoring program. As the Transaction Monitoring manager at Chime, you will work to lead our strategy and execution teams and assist with new and on-going projects and partner with Subject Matter Experts, Risk Insights, Engineering, and Fraud Operations to achieve results.

This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.

In this role, you can expect to

• Support the Financial Crimes operations teams by contributing to the design and effectiveness of our detection, monitoring, and reporting operations program for financial crimes related to money laundering and terrorist financing. 
• Collaborate with technology teams to roll out enhancements to systems and tools that facilitate operational efficiencies and meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.
• Ensures AML risks associated with transaction activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and mitigated by your team.
• Build tactical and scalable solutions for operational teams to manage compliance tasks and risks.
• Assume responsibility for special projects; gather data and prepare reports for meetings, Senior Management, audits, and exams.

To thrive in this role, you have 

• 7 or more years of experience in BSA/AML regulations, risks and typologies and 4 or more years in managing teams.
• Experience in consumer banking, as well as systems implementations, process reengineering, and requirements definition preferred
• A strong analytical and metrics driven approach to create substantiated solutions.
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• The ability to work in a fast paced, highly structured, deadline driven culture.
• A team player mentality with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor.
• The ability to provide ownership and support for strategic program initiatives.
