Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position
This position is responsible for preparing reporting, marketing data, and performing research to resolve issues pertaining to a significant block of group life and accident & health insurance in Protective’s Protection division.
Responsibilities
- Complete various weekly and monthly reporting tasks for managers and executives using a combination of SQL coding and Excel.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for analytics and reporting related to all aspects of the business using familiarity with the SQL database structure and coding techniques to produce actionable data.
- Produce mailing lists for marketing campaigns per provided requirements with an attention to detail.
- Maintain and troubleshoot reports backed by SQL stored procedures in Crystal Reports and SSRS.
- Executes projects of diverse scope and complexity in support of the group insurance account as assigned by leadership.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications/Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience
- Intermediate to advanced SQL coding skills required
- Experience with Visual Basic
- Experience with Crystal Reports and/or SSRS
- Experience with Power BI
- Ability to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to think critically, work accurately, and prioritize & organize work effectively
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team as required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work across teams
- Continuous-improvement mindset
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities [through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [through cash compensation as part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
