ADS Business Advisory Practice Lead, EMEA

As a member of the Analytics and Data Services (ADS) Business Advisory Practice you will provide consultative services and support to our EMEA customers.  You will use your technical, analytical, management and communication skills to ensure Guidewire ADS customers fully understand the value of their investment and how to utilize our products to manage their cyber risk profile.  You will work closely with several functional areas across the insurance ecosystem, with an emphasis on actuarial, exposure management and catastrophe modeling.  This role will engage with users across a broad spectrum of the insurance business including primary P&C insurers, reinsurers, brokers, regulators and ratings agencies.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals with expertise in data consultancy, solution architecture and insurance.  Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with customers to formulate and execute upon joint engagement strategy
  • Become our customers primary source of external cyber analytics and data expertise through embedding Guidewire ADS products and solutions on their workflow
  • Perform sophisticated risk analyses using Guidewire’s data listening technology for insurers, reinsurers, brokers and regulators
  • Add value to modeled results through customization of output tailored to the needs of clients
  • Help clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through interpretation of modeling results
  • Perform portfolio management studies for determining growth strategies, developing scoring templates and risk metrics
  • Recommend novel approaches to risk management for current and prospective customers
  • Work with a high-powered team of professionals to understand and enhance our risk-modeling techniques
  • Engage with customers to provide value-added advisory services tailored to meet their individual cyber risk strategy, including pricing model development, go-to-market strategies, insurance product development, thought leadership and awareness and educational campaigns
  • Provide consulting for internal projects that require subject matter expertise: marketing white papers, thought leadership, sales enablement, etc
  • Collaborate with sales, customer success and product management as “voice of the customer” to set and support goal setting and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with our Customer Success team that manages post-sale customer relationships to coordinate communication with customers and ensure alignment with overall customer program goals
  • Provide feedback Product Development team and facilitate customer communications to enhance our collective understanding of market needs and product requirements

Key knowledge, skills and abilities:


  • Working knowledge of advanced analytics and actuarial concepts, including experience working with predictive models
  • Experience articulating value propositions to multiple and often disparate leadership functions within the insurance industry, including but not limited to CUO, CRO, Chief Actuary and CIO
  • Actuarial, exposure management, underwriting or brokering experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of cyber security concepts and trends
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to client sites (estimate: 30-50% travel)
