Carvana is looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. You will develop, test and deploy product features, quantify impact and rapidly iterate. Responsibilities include (a) taking product ideas from idea to launch, (b) designing and running split tests, and (c) communicating outcomes to the organization. The ideal candidate for this position has a keen product sense and interest in business.

You have backend experience (C#, .Net, SQL Server) paired with excellent front-end skills (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML 5, Angular). You are familiar with Agile/Scrum processes, grok common design patterns, embrace clean coding principles and employ unit tests in an effort to bring a high level of software craftsmanship to your finished product. You see regular code reviews as opportunities to learn from and educate your talented peers, and you're excited to constructively participate.



You will be called upon to independently lead feature launches, assess impact and prioritize next steps. You will work closely with product, engineering and analytics teammates. 



  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 2+ years experience full-stack development experience
  • Ability to see things from a technical and business perspective and quantify business impact
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectural patterns
  • Familiarity with one or more user event tracking providers, e.g. Mixpanel, Kissmetrics,
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Carvana engineers work very closely with supporting teams and will need great interpersonal skills including a positive attitude and sense of humor



  • Experience in a high-growth consumer startup
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
