Summary: 

This role will develop native mobile applications on Android platforms for the company's products, applications, and the senior system architect. You will collect requirements from various application domains and develop solutions in collaboration with the UI/UX team. Your work will involve developing and testing cross-platform applications. You will be a role model and live our Vision, Mission, and Values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated with product development initiatives and deployments
  • Identify technical and process improvement opportunities
  • Adhere to all safety processes and policies in place. Actively participate in maintaining a safety culture and address safety issues proactively

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed to achieve our objectives 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education, Experience, Knowledge: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in Android application development
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Best Practices and UI Design Principles and Patterns
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Strong understanding of Kotlin, Kotlin DSL, MVVM and Hilt Dependency Injection
  • Experience with BLE is a plus
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, detailed work independently, highlighting key risks, and design dependencies to technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders
