Our products include vital-signs monitoring in hospitals and patient-to-clinician apps to support self-care and remote monitoring of gestational diabetes and chronic diseases such as COPD and heart failure.

We are seeking Android Engineers who can help us build superb apps, so we can deliver the most benefit to patients.

Your responsibilities:

  • Have a deep understanding of the products and systems you are building, both functionally and technically
  • Write high quality, robust code including tests
  • Enhance existing and build new Android apps
  • Work closely with back end engineers to establish and conform to agreed API contracts
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to develop CICD pipelines that ensure code is of the highest quality [senior]
  • Engage in Scrum ceremonies, assist in writing clear and accurate tickets, and help with planning and estimation of work
  • Collaborate with the team and other departments to deliver high quality solutions
  • Challenge assumptions, and be an agent for change in our processes and behaviour


Your skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience creating native Android apps using Java and Kotlin
  • Strong background in unit testing and UI testing for Android
  • Knowledge of common app architectures such as MVVM
  • Experience with Reactive programming patterns and tools such as RxJava
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Excellent communication skills

Your desirable experience:

  • Experience of working in the healthcare industry
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment e.g. Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with cross-platform tools such as React Native and Kotlin Multiplatform
  • University degree in science-based subject or software industry equivalent
