Summary/Objective:

The Application Support Analyst supports Elevations Credit Union’s (ECU) production application environments and partners closely with Information Technology (IT) Program/Project Managers, Development Teams, and the Systems Architecture team to maintain these environments. This role serves as a technical resource on application functionality and capabilities, manages maintenance and incident resolution, monitors systems to ensure availability, and works closely with vendors and internal departments to participate in the software implementation life cycle.

Essential Functions include:

  • Supports ECU’s business applications (including our core system) by adhering to all IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
  • Serves as an on-call resource, performs triage on incidents, troubleshoots issues, resolves incidents, completes upgrades, etc. while communicating with stakeholders regarding applications status.
  • Completes application planned maintenance activities (e.g., upgrades, releases, enhancements, service packs, etc.).
  • Works closely with vendors to ensure successful software or hardware implementation, maintenance, and support.
  • Provides superior customer service, managing relationships with end users, business leaders, and others to ensure service delivery exceeds expectations.
  • Contributes technical knowledge and understanding of applications to support processes, operating procedures, and training programs.
  • Partners with IT Program/Project Managers to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures; investigate and contribute to operational requirements, problems, and improvements; and specify information flows, processes, and procedures that will meet business requirements.
  • Develops Knowledgebase artifacts to take part in business partner meetings when necessary and assists in presenting issues and solutions both orally and in writing.
  • Participates in unit and system tests for new or changed automated systems with IT Quality Assurance (QA) department.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience monitoring and managing application production environments, Windows O/S (min 2008) System Administration, and/or Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.x.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Principles & practices of server, middleware, and hardware; software configuration, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
    • Scrum ceremonies and Agile methodologies
    • Unix/AIX operating system, Unix shell scripting
    • MS DebugDiag tools, SCOM, and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools, setup, or similar strategies / conventions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and/or weekends.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or field of study related to the work performed.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification, or previous work within an ITIL environment.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Supporting business applications within a financial institution
    • Business process management (BPM), automation of workflow, and application administration
    • Microsoft PowerShell
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Virtualized and cloud environments
    • Financial institution technologies: Jack Henry technologies (Episys, Synapsys, Opcon, Synergy, Image Teller Capture), MeridianLink, Encompass, Digital Insight, Q2, COTS, Image Center, ARCU, etc.

Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects

This role can be performed on site at the location above, or remotely for any individual who resides within Colorado.

Compensation:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $80,479 and $110,659 annual salary, plus annual bonus.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
