Assistant Accountant (32 Hours)

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be a key member of the general ledger team supporting the control and reporting of the financial position. You will take ownership of key aspects of accounting, balance sheet, and reporting whilst playing a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and control of financial systems which underpin the business's performance and ability to make informed decisions.

This is a part-time position, offering 32 hours, which can be done in 4 days or spread over 5 days.

What will you be doing

• Deliver financial information/reporting for overheads:
  o Preparing monthly overheads accruals and prepayment
  o Ensuring costs are accounted for correctly
  o Dealing with overheads queries
  o Supporting FP&A in preparing budgets and forecasts
• Supporting the Financial Accounting Manager:
  o Delivering accurate and timely accounting for the month-end process
  o Ensuring a high level of integrity for financial information, explaining variances, margins, and transactions
  o Maintain balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation
  o Participating in the year-end process and audit, to ensure queries are explained and cleared in a timely manner
  o Support the Ledger teams in reports and technical areas requiring attention
  o To ensure our internal accounting processes, controls, and procedures are operating effectively.
  o Support wider finance function as required with adhoc duties, reporting, and projects.
