1776 holds the Challenge Cup annually to find the most compelling companies solving life-critical problems around the world. From Boise to Berlin and Singapore to Salvador, the Challenge Cup leaves no stone unturned when searching for these world-class companies. The program features 3 rounds: a Local round (executed by leading hubs around the world and supported by 1776), a Regional round (executed by our team in cities around the world), and our Global Finals held in Washington, DC, where 1776 provides a full slate of classes, introductions, and public events for the competing startups titled Challenge Festival.

1776 is home to an intensely collaborative team, and the Challenge Cup is the clearest example of this cooperative culture. The ideal leader of the program must be comfortable working with all levels of the 1776 team in addition to entrepreneurs and startup community leaders around the world to execute this program. The perfect candidate will effortlessly transition between leading project roadmap meetings for the 1776 team to hopping on a Skype call to support and coach a new partner in India. He or she must be able to manage multiple deadlines behind the scenes and to speak comfortably as a 1776 ambassador around the world.

-Creating and executing project plans with multiple dependent deadlines
-A passion for entrepreneurship and experience working with startups
-Ability to work globally
