Assistant Production Manager (Vancouver)

The Assistant Production Manager, with direction from the Production Manager, sets the vision for the plant on a high level - building the team and crafting its culture. You’ll be accountable for ensuring the team follows all procedures consistently and driving measurable, quantitative improvements in performance.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has 2+ years of experience working independently to set procedures, uphold standards, and deliver measurable, quantitative results in a manual production or distribution environment. Our evolving environment demands passion, multitasking, high attention to detail, the ability to perform with a sense of urgency, and keen problem solving and organization skills.

  • 3+ years of successful managerial leadership experience in a food production environment. We are looking for someone who has experience enforcing GMPs and SOPs
  • Expert knowledge of HACCP and food safety
  • Post-secondary training in Food Science, Quality Assurance or a related field
  • Experience owning quality and efficiency KPIs and course correcting when required
  • Superior communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to make informed decisions in a timely matter
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications
  • You have open availability including nights and weekends, this is a managerial level position with a large scope of responsibility
