Based in Emeryville, CA, We are the #1, national digital salon brand, partnering with independent stylists across the country to provide customer online booking for salon service and Mayvenn brand hair products. Mayvenn is partnering with the largest retailer in America to launch our first Retail Experience location which has the opportunity to be expanded Nationwide across hundreds of locations.


Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join the team at our first, state of the art retail experience focused on hair extensions located in Katy, TX. This person will be an integral leader in shaping the future of the first of its kind retail experience. The role will help assist the General Manager and Lead Beauty Expert by overseeing team members, resolving customer questions and complaints, and enhancing store productivity and performance. The Assistant Store Manager will report directly to the General Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Assist General Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
  • Monitor retail operating costs, budget, and resources
  • Assist with training programs and techniques
  • Conduct regular store audits to ensure the store is functional and presentable
  • Track the progress of weekly and monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Assist with recruiting, scheduling, and performance of the Beauty Experts
  • Ensure proper presentation of products, and that shelves are clean and sanitized
  • Provide customers with best in class consultations, during which you will recommend Mayvenn products based on product knowledge, personal analysis and customer preference.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results
  • Open and close the store
  • Meet all training benchmarks provided by Mayvenn

Who You Are

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Current or previous lead experience supporting retail associates 
  • Trained knowledge of Hair Extensions to properly advise the client through the consultation and selection process
  • 3+ years of sales and retail experience working in a sales oriented business
  • Ambitious, leader, problem solving, customer service centered 
  • Effectively listen to others and shows respect for others’ opinions
  • Product knowledge, consultation specialist, attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Flexible on working weekends and holidays
