Associate Brand Copywriter

Reporting to Artsy’s Director of Content, the Associate Copywriter will be the central point for copy at the company, working on Artsy’s marketing team. 

As a member of the marketing team, this position will play a critical role in creating clear and crisp copy that connects our functional value with the emotional pull needed to drive loyalty and engagement from collectors. 

Collaborating closely with Artsy’s consumer marketing team and creative team, as well as business leaders, this position will manage copy across marketing channels, in-product, and for brand campaigns—developing and maintaining a consistent brand voice across applications and channels. We’re seeking a sharp writer, excellent collaborator, and self-starter who loves crafting language that is elevated and intelligent as much as welcoming and inclusive. You would be joining a fast-growing business that is quickly becoming the essential art-collecting tool for collectors. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering compelling and brand-aligned copy across channels and platforms
  • Defining and operationalizing copywriting pipeline, requests, and prioritization system 
  • Collaborating with the marketing, design, brand, and social media teams to deliver polished creative on deadline
  • Implementing learnings and feedback to optimize copy and iterate quickly
  • Executing on copy projects internally, as well as management of external freelance copywriters as needed

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Writer with 3+ years copywriting experience
  • Strong command of the English language, including creativity, spelling, grammar and punctuation; familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
  • Ability to translate brand personality and verbal identity into copy that spans applications
  • A highly skilled communicator—clear, concise, and respectful 
  • Strong collaborator and ability to influence through mutual respect with team members
  • Proactive, meticulously organized, and agile: can make adjustments quickly and efficiently
  • Willingness to embrace new ideas, new opportunities to learn and grow, and operates with zero ego

Preferred, not required: 

  • Copywriting and/or professional experience in a luxury space (e-commerce or marketplaces)
