Our primary responsibility, as the Business org, is to actively drive this mission from the frontlines.As an Associate Business Manager, you will play a huge role in driving growth across all categories. Our team holds end-to-end responsibility to launch and scale-up categories, by ensuring the right selection, competitive pricing and conversion. Each category team has Senior Business Managers/Business Managers and a group of Assistant Business Managers, Key Account Managers and Business Development Executives.Within the business team, you'll closely work with the category marketing team and other category teams. Beyond this, you will also work closely with Product, Supplier Growth, User Growth, and Fulfillment & Experience teams. We focus on personal growth and fun at work just as much as we do on working hard. That is why, we have regular 1-1s, monthly outings, and timely rewards and recognitions.
About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, open-minded, self-starter who enjoys Business Leadership roles and is capable of building a “category” at Meesho.As Associate Business Manager, you will handle both the demand and supply side of the business. You will also ensure that all the best prices and choices are showcased on the app to the customers. You will own P&L (profit and loss) account and constantly drive value to your customers. You will make sure that the number of customers transacting in your portfolio keeps on increasing, and also that your suppliers continue to thrive & succeed
What you will do
- Decide the right selection and pricing strategy, from shaping the user experience to defining the long term vision for your category
- Drive marketplace growth of your category,, keeping in mind the consumer needs as well as the competition
- Own the customer experience, growth and P&L for your category and chase targets in alignment with the overall business goals for Meesho
- Take up responsibility for planning your category’s real estate on the platform to ensure a thorough representation of your category and to ensure customers come to your category to transactIdentify broader trends and fill in category selection gaps through competition & offline benchmarking.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with other teams to deliver on strategies
- Facilitate supplier success to giving customers exactly what they’re looking forLead operational tasks – solving supplier issues, monitoring inventory, discounts for sales, and execute strategies you build
- Drive visibility plans, promotion plans, and coordinate between the internal marketing teams and usersIdentify, lead and drive initiatives for non-incremental growth by identifying key levers and also present detailed problem definition and solution to senior leadership and execute the solutions
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
- 1-3 years work experience having worked with a brand or in a role handling brand key accounts
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management
- Experience with startups or e-commerce is an added advantage
- Track record of delivering results across experiences
- Demonstrated quick career progression either within the same company or across companies
- Ability to develop first principle thinking
- Proven skills in building and scaling processes
- Deep understanding of business and customers
- Experience in problem-solving using qualitative and quantitative data on consumer insights
- Proven skills in driving problems to solutions and opportunities
