The Business Solution Consultant has a solid understanding of AppDirect’s business model, organisation and technology. They will have a thorough understanding of Digital Transformation Services’ target objectives and key results (OKRs) as they pertain to business solution consulting. They are able to look at problems through our Partner’s eyes. They demonstrate strong business acumen; are able to connect with stakeholders internally and externally; are able to think critically, see connections between disciplines and problem solve in new or evolving situations. They have a strong understanding of the Partner’s vertical. 

What you'll do and how you'll make an impact:

  • Understanding and defining customer business processes and present opportunities for optimisation and use of the Marketplace functionality.
  • Serve as a platform functional expert to drive optimal use and maximize effectiveness and adoption. 
  • Drive business and engagement through building relationships with customer key stakeholders, surfacing opportunities, and driving those opportunities through to delivery.
  • Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping, and business process redesigning.
  • Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, and support. 
  • Solution escalation management is the ability to understand the impact of an issue, pull the internal resources together (potentially via upper management involvement), find a resolution, and keep the customer updated throughout the process.
  • Demonstrated competency in facilitating workshops i.e. QTRs, discovery sessions
  • Business requirements gathering - gathering the full scope of a new feature, function, or integration to be built; but at the senior level should push the customer beyond what they know they need to understand their business problem to help them define their current and future requirements around this forthcoming solution.
  • Ability to host functional scoping sessions with customers producing clearly defined scope as an outcome
  • Work with AppDirect Solution Architects to design the solution that best meet our partner’s requirements
  • Assist and coordinate with partners in their Go To Market planning for their strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to understand and map Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and 3rd party Products to onboard onto the Marketplace.
  • Consult with our partners on best practices for managing product lifecycle and catalog management. 
  • Lead client training sessions
  • Ability to understand partners migration needs and proactively plan and manage migrations 
  • Support clients through go-live process and play a key role in promoting solution adoption
  • Leading the hands-on building of the solution leveraging AppDirect platform

What You'll Need:

  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple moving parts while actively prioritizing activities and deliverables
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Ability to solve complex technical implementations both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with software development processes
  • Experience in scoping complex customer requirements and managing Web Integrations with customers as a Project Manager or Software Consultant
  • Experience in project management, product management, and/or account management to Fortune 100 service providers is an asset
  • Superb spoken and written English
  • Stellar interpersonal, communication and planning skills along with critical thinking and good decision making abilities

Assets:

  • Experience with ISV/SaaS/IaaS/PaaS application partners, like Microsoft, Docusign, Dropbox, Zendesk, etc.
  • Experience working in well-established tech companies
